Fieldbook: “Home”
“Part ideas magazine, part Design Awards catalog, BSLA’s annual Fieldbook is intended to explore, catalyze, and advance issues and ideas of landscape architecture, as we celebrate the landscape architecture community of Massachusetts and Maine.”
I moderated a roundtable conversation for BSLA on the idea of “home” in landscape architecture. The conversation brought together designers with experience living, studying, teaching, and/or practicing in multiple cultural contexts. From the perspective of the “in-between” of cultural spheres, we discussed memories, traditions, and individual/collective experiences that instill in us different meanings of home.
